Petersburg Racquet Club

Our Futures program is for beginner and advanced intermediate players ages 4-18. The goal of the Futures program is to make tennis fun and build a foundation, which allows each student to reach their potential. Students will be divided in all clinics by ages and levels, to ensure the maximum amount of improvement.

Professional Staff

Craig S. Jones and Mark Rearden will oversee all areas of the Futures and Academy programs. Craig and Mark have over 50 years experience training and teaching junior players of all levels. They will be assisted by a staff of certified professionals who are dedicated and committed to the success of all players. No matter what level of player your child is, Petersburg Racquet Club is The Place.

Progressive Court System (PCS)

The PCS at PRC uses 36', 60' and 78' (regular size) courts, along with three different types of balls. This system guarantees success and gives your child a visible progression to maximize their improvement. This system has been used successfully throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Which Class Should My Child Be In?

Beginners: have little or no experience

7-10 year olds - Futures I
11-18 year olds - Futures II

Beginner/Intermediate: they are starting to be able to hit the ball back and forth over the net with a partner. Can perform a basic serve. Still have difficulties with scoring and playing an entire match. Have not played league yet.

7-10 year olds – Futures I
11-18 year olds - Futures II

Intermediate: they can rally, serve and keep score. They have played in 36’ or 60’ league. Just starting to play local satellite tournaments.

9/10 year olds - Futures II
11-18 year olds - Futures II

Advanced Intermediate: they are playing on the regular court and have played league and played at least 3 local tournaments.

9-17 year olds - Futures III

Pee Wees: This group is for youngsters 4-6 years old who want to learn the basics of tennis in a fun atmosphere. Emphasis is placed on teaching hand-eye coordination skills in a tennis environment. Every session is full of games and prizes.

Payment Policies: Option I and II are pre-pay rates. They must be paid on the first day of that session for non-members and members. Option III is for non-members that pay by the day or members who want to charge on their account. Make-ups for rain will be held on Fridays. Pee Wee make-ups will be from 4:00-4:45, Futures I and II will be from 4:00-5:00 and Futures III will be from 4:00-5:30 p.m. There will not be any refunds or credits for occasional days missed. Credits or reduced fees will only be granted for prolonged illness or injury.
