Pee Wees

These camps are for children ages 4-6 who want to learn the basics of tennis, while having as much fun as possible. Emphasis will be on developing hand-eye coordination and other basic athletic skills to help the child achieve success in tennis and other sports. All Pee Wees sessions are taught on a 36’ court or smaller, with foam or large low compression balls to ensure success.

Futures

For younger campers, emphasis will be placed on developing athletic skills to achieve success in tennis and other sports. For more experienced campers, we will focus on learning solid fundamentals of ground strokes, volleys, serves, and preparing for match play.

Time is reserved at the end of each workout for cooling off at the PRC pool. Children will be escorted to the pool by the PRC staff and monitored by the pool lifeguards for their safety.

Summer Camp - Futures

Progressive Court System (PCS)

The Progressive Court System features three different size courts and balls. Players begin on a 36’ court with foam balls, progress to a 60’ court with low compression balls, and finally, to the 78’ court (regular court) with normal balls. This system guarantees success and gives your child a visible progression to maximize their improvement.

Camp Groups

Within each camp, players will be grouped by ages and levels to guarantee the maximum amount of improvement. The more skilled players in the Futures Camps may be mixed with our Academy Program.

Academy

This program is for year-round tournament players. Anyone attending these camps must be playing the State Qualifying, Challenger, Futures and/or Closed tournaments. Camps will include intensive drilling, conditioning, supervised match play, video analysis, stretching and flexibility training, technical refinement, sports science sessions, and off-court social activities. Emphasis will be placed on preparing the child physically, mentally, and emotionally to peak in his/her performance during the major events this summer.
